About the Editor
To describe myself in one sentence, you could say I’m a modern country girl who is passionate about my family and healthy eating. Having grown up in a small rural town, I quickly learned the value and benefits of loving a simple, country life, and even after college, decided to come back to my home town to raise my own family. Other than my children and husband, I am very passionate about healthy eating and teaching others the value of eating a balanced, nutritious diet.
Using the Internet, I have shared my love of cooking and healthy eating by providing various recipes and techniques for others, things like how they can use their blender to improve their own overall health while still creating healthy, delicious treats that beat any fast food diet for prep time and energy. Being a busy mom, I have experimented with various recipes, using my blender two to six times a day. I have written my own cookbook of various recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using a blender to create only the healthiest, tastiest treats.
In my opinion, it is crucial to support and teach others how to eat healthy and cook. With how busy our society expects our children to be, it’s important that they learn how to take care of their bodies, avoiding the atrocities of the average American diet. Through my teachings, my own children are starting to learn the benefits of healthy eating and I am hoping through my books to help other parents to teach these lessons to their own children.
Along with loving the convenience of current household appliances (such as my blender), I am also an avid gardener who grows and cans my own vegetables. During my free time, I can be found hiking with my children or experimenting in my kitchen.
